3rd party plugins incompatible with LW 7.5

NewTek Forum: LightWave 3D®: Mac LW: 3rd party plugins incompatible with LW 7.5

I've noticed that Gaffer from Worley isn't compatible with LW 7.5. You can add the plugin, open the interface and make adjustments, but once you close the Gaffer window Lightwave goes down with a bang...
This is in OSX (10.2). Haven't tried OS9 yet.

Sasquatch, Disgust and Shadow Designer seems to work though.

Has anyone else discovered any other plugins that don't work?

Arne

Poser plug doesn't seem to work either, and that's a big big problem, I'm gonna cry

I got the following message from Steve Worley regarding Gaffer:

"Try deleting and remaking your LW config files. There's a weird bug that we haven't really been able to track down in either LW or our plugins. Redoing you config files seems to cure it for most people. Please let us know how it goes."

I guess this isn't technically a third party filter, but BESM locks me up under OSX. I have to force quit the app.

Well gang, this is why they call it the "bleeding edge". It's not just 3rd party plugins that don't work.

DR's TreeDruid doesn't work in 7.5/OS X 10.1.3 either. This one seems OK through the UI but no object renders.

Onyx's Tree Pro 4.0.1 doesn't work in Classic but does work with that very same OS 9 when booted directly.

Both SasLite and Sasquatch are tender and can crash LW instantly upon bringing up a UI. But so far, once I got either to work then both continue to render just fine as long as further changes are kept to a minimum.

Haven't tried other Dynamic Realities or Worley plug-ins yet.

A major issue could be that LW 7.5 can't find any plugins in the 7.0 version of ObjAccess.p or EnvAccess.p and these two plugins are missing in the downloaded version of 7.5. My 7.5 CD has not arrived yet.

NewTek, we've got issues here. Please help.

Vertibevel seems to work just fine in 7.5 / OSX

I got my LW 7.5 CD in the mail yesterday. I loaded it and reloaded all my 3rd party stuff. The two missing LW plugins are still missing: EnvAccess.p and ObjAccess.p.

Deliberate attempts to load them fail. TreeD still doesn't work.

What gives? Why have we not heard a response from NewTek on this. Andy at Worley Labs claims these plugins are required.

Help!

Well the good news is that the missing 7.5 legacy plug-ins are here at last:
