Hi there,
For the first time i had to use content manager to export my scene for a pc guy...
I activated content manager, chose the export option
but when i click ok i get an error stating something like "Object conversion failure".
The weird thing is, when i change my content dir to the place i put the files (on my desktop) and i load that scene, it imports like it should?
But my friend with the pc says that it cannot render the particles?
Does anyone have an idea why it wont work?

The object conversion failure can sometimes happen if you have a layered object in your scene with an empty first layer. Do you have the particles referencing a .pfx file somewhere that the PC can't see? I don't think ContentManager automatically picks up .pfx files....although I haven't tried it for a while.

Hi Julian,
I'm sure this is not the case, anyway thanks for the reply.

The mac scene file uses the colon ":" to target directories for some (not all) features. After you have collected the content, open the scene in a text editor, and search for ":" when it references a directory, change it to "/" or "\" whichever will work...

also open the scene file in BBedit and change its line endings to DOS.

This is not the problem.
The problem is that i always get an error after exporting the scene with the manager.
The scene and objects load perfect on the pc. And if there was a directory issue, then that's also no problem since lightwave will ask u if u would like to assign the object yourself.
The poblems are
1. error when exporting using the manager ( the new scene seems to load without a problem )
Do u also get errors when u try this?
2. On the pc the particles show in the viewport but dont render. ( Since i have the duo upgrade i'm gonna check this one out myself on a pc of a friend )
Anyway i'm very VERY thankfull if u took the time to help me out.
