Hi All.

Need desparate help. When I load my project that I'm working on in Lightwave 7 layout, none of the options are as I left them when I last saved. My hypervoxels are not activated and have to be reloaded them everytime I open the project, my grid size is always 50km and has to be reset to 50m, and more worryingly, when i render using save RGB files, the files don't seem to be saved. This only happens with my project. If I load up a sample project, everything works perfectly.
These problems I could bare, but when I need to render the final annimation, I have to do it on a network, It'll take 5 weeks if I do it as an avi on my PC alone (then i'll loose it all if it crashes). Other computers on the network save the RGB files ok. What's going on - PLEASE, PLEASE help, this is really worrying.

Have I just saved a configuration file wrongly somewhere, that is associated with this project???

I should also say that if I start a new project, everything also saves and works correctly.

Unfortunately I can't afford the $1500 dollars to get it renderfarmed!

Thank you all for reading and I just hope you can help.

Paul.

Does no-one have any idea about this problem? I thought it might turn out to be something really obvious.
Any ideas at all will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Paul

Try to redo your configs. You will lose any keyboard mapping you have set up, any plugins you have added in, so keep a backup of the files, just in case. You don't say what platform you are on, but taking the law of averages in hand, I shall post the solution for a Windows system. I apologise if you are on a Mac, and can post a similar list for you if that's the case:

- Close all LightWave applications (ie Layout, Modeler and Hub).
- In Windows\Profiles\[User], where [User] is the username you enter to start a Windows NT session, look for the following files : LW3.CFG, LWM3.CFG, LWEXT3.CFG and LWHUB.CFG
- Delete these files.
- Run Layout.
- Select Layout > Plug-ins > Edit Plug-ins.
- Click on Scan Directory.
- Select LightWave 7.5 Plugins folder.
- Once the plug-ins have been added, click again on Scan Directory.
- Select LightWave 7.5 LScripts folder.
- Once the LScripts are installed, click on Done.
- Quit Layout.
- Quit Hub.
- Run Modeler.
- Quit Modeler.
- Quit Hub.

Ok - so thanks to Bens suggestion, i have finally managed to find the problem but not yet solve it. The problem is with the syktrascer2 plugin. When the plugin is installed, all sorts of things go wrong, when its not - lightwave works perfectly. The problem is, that i have my project set up perfectly using the skytracer2 plugin. Does anyone have any idea why skytracer2 might be causing the problem?

Thanks

Paul
