Sometimes, even with the proper content directory selected, I'll load a model and it says "no disc inserted in E: (my CD-rom)" and it wants me to select the files by hand...?

Check the modeller config file (LWM3.CFG) for any reference to your E-Drive, they may be something that has slipped past.

Then make sure Modeller is using that config file.

Ah, sure enough there was a line referencing the E: drive. That's an interesting little file to look through...I'll remember that in the future!

Incidentally, why would the E: drive remain as a content directory when I repeatedly changed it to a C: directory? Does LW establish a "primary" content directory when it's installed or something?

thanks again everyone

Hey Drew
If youa re using LW without Hub make sure to set the content- dir not only in Layout, but also in Modeler. Also if you happen to crash layout/Modeler after setting the new Content- dir it will not be saved. Oh and make sure your config- file is not write- protected or something (for whatever odd reason)...
