i have a dual g4 500mz AGP..os9.2.2..lw6.5b..with a radeon 7000 a 17"crt and 15"flat panel, that works well enough now ,no complaints,..would the new 9000 speed up anything in layout ..?..do i need to go to os x?

You should be running Lightwave on OS X anyway. It's more stable, plus it's been Newtek's "recommended" Mac OS for some years now.

My ATI9000 is running well. I'm not sure what speed increase you will see, though.
