I simply wanted to "Send Object to Layout", something I have done countless times before. Now it won't work. I have trashed preferences and run Initconfig without success.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Forgot to mention: G4 450, 896 Ram, ATI Radeon 8500 graphics card running 10.2.3

Yeah. I've had some odd things happening running LW 7.5 on Jaguar too. For me, the Open GL display wouldn't show the lights correctly, the object would be lit arbitrarily---some part of it lit, another part dark, etc. No rhyme or reason. When the light was first set up it would display correctly (usually more than one light were in the scene, up to three), but as soon as a light or the camera was moved the display would mess up.
My solution was to run LW on an OS 10.1.5 partition for a while. After a few days, or a week, I'd go back and run it on OS 10.2.x again and lo, everything would be working correctly again... demons? ghosts? Unix! Who knows?
Anyway, that's why I run multiple partitions with different OS versions on them.
You didn't mention if you're running LW 7.5. In any case, what, if anything is written in your "Hub cmdline" file?

> Yeah, I'm running 7.5. My hub cmdline file reads -c"Tumblemonster Productions:Users:jh:Library:Preferences" -p"Tumblemonster Productions:Users:jh:Library:Preferences"
Thanks for the help, I still haven't solved this problem, and its bugging me.

So what doesn't happen when you send? Does the object not appear in layout? You know that if you are making an object new, and it's never been saved, it won't go right?

So what exactly is (or isn't happening?) Is this a new object, or an existing object? Is it a new scene, or an existing scene? Do you have the hub active for both modeler and layout? (I notice that the send/put commands don't work so well if you disable the hub in only one of the applications).
If this is a new object, you've just created, it must be saved at least once before you can send it to layout.

> This is an object I've been working on for a while. I seem to have solved the problem, but I can't figure out why. I launched modeler and layout and then tried sending the object and it worked. I then quit Layout, and sent the object again, and it launched modeler as it should. Before, It would not launch layout, it would just sit there and do nothing.
Thanks for your help. If anyone has any idea what would cause this behavior (hey Newtek!?) please let me know.

I have this problem and haven`t fixed it, but found the workaround. I load Modeler from the hub and then Layout from the .exe file. Layout then connects itself to the hub and talks nicely to Modeler. It doesn`t work launching them the other way around and I can`t launch more than one app. from the hub: Layout or Modeler, not both! Odd, but with this workaround I still have all the functionality, so no big deal.
