Hi all,
[please excuse if this has been addressed or point me to the correct solution or thread.]
I am working in modeler, and I cannot for the life of me make things move more than a millimeter. It seems to be that I move my mouse very far, but the object doesn't want to go very far. it's not a mouse bug or having my units set to small. It's that LW is performing extremely poorly. I have the CPU meter up while I work, and it jumps to use 100% of my processor even to move a 6-poly box. Moving simple objects is much easier than a very complex one. My main struggle is with moving parts on an automobile (metaNurb mode and well over 20000 polys, not all nurbed).
I believe that I have all my prefs set properly, and it seems like my Mac is using OpenGL properly (so says Layout-About OpenGL plug in).
Is this a known bug? Is there an update coming soon for performance? I hope that it can be fixed and free as well. I don't want to pay for a bug fix update that requires buying LW8. I don't remember LW 6.5 being so outright slow. Have things in Jaguar changed so significantly that it broke LW somehow?
If anybody has ANY help I would really appreciate it.
Chris
