how can i find the distance that an object travels on a path, especially a curvy path?

well, if the speed is constant, you can use the spedometer plugin to find out how fast it is going, and you will of course have the time right in layout. just do a little algebra and yer there.

now i have not tried this, but i think it should work. if the speed is NOT constant, you can load the .mot file into modeler, make it a path, and then do path to motion. i am suggesting this under the assumption that path-to-motion will export a motion path with a constant speed so you can then follow the steps above.

good luck

You can always define the multivariabe funcion in x,y,z coordinates and calculate the integral but it´s tricky.

Best

check flay.com new plugin today that deals with paths and distance, what a coincidence.
