Hi all, just finished the attached rendering, can anybody tell me what happend ? The picture rendered fine before several times, but since i switched raytrace reflections on he rendered those nasty black blotches. I use medium aa, raydiosity with one area light for the sun.

That is wierd!
Wouldn't be reflective surfaces reflecting background only (black) perchance? That's a HUGE guess on my part, obviously! But I thought I'd take a stab at answering your query...
Otherwise I suggest you model a digital vacuum cleaner and add it to the scene - It might just be digital dirt!

I use the beta-version of a new ink-rendering system
The backround is white, but i have a hdr image as a reflection map assigned, but not to the walls.

If you have an HDRI image for the reflections, try bluring it. Even slightly, it SHOULD work...
Either that... or some people just can't clean... ;-)
Will
ps. That, or... digital cockroaches! ;-)

It looks to me like your computer has a light leak!

looks like a monkey has been in the room!

It looks now more like the monkey has been in the scene file. I've now reloaded everything into a new scene file and first tests didn't show the artifacts, i'll try a rendering overnight to be sure.
