I have three thin vertical rods spaced like the feet on a tripod, at 120 degrees from each other. But unlike a tripod they don't merge at the top (under where the camera would go). That's all I want to do, form a tripod, but exactly. I can rotate each one, but I keep getting the angles wrong. It's hand to find the exact plane so the rod tilts exactly into center. I've used the pole tool and that does drag the ends together, but it also tapers the rod! That's not what I'm after. Any simple method for this? Thanks!

Um...

Why not take one of those rods, move it till the top end is exactly on the 0,0,0, then rotate that one rod out to the angle at which you want it to stand. Then you can do a radial array, specifying three objects. That should to do it.
