I wanted to test the bend tool under the MacOS version of Lightwave, so I installed it to a laptop with MacOS X. The product lock number that comes up on the Mac is different from the number that comes up on my PC. Does that mean I can't switch between PC and Mac platforms without re-registering? Why is the number different?
Another problem I have on the Mac is that it won't give me the 15-day trial. Currently I have 12 days left on the PC (I'm still waiting for my permanent key), but on the Mac I get no grace period at all.
So, a different product lock number and no 15-day trial. Is this normal?

Does anybody know?

Yes, Rainbow's design for the Duo dongle is such that a different internal ID number shows for each platform. You can contact Customer Services to get the Mac license key. Not sure why you didn't get a 14-day trial on the Mac, but I'll check to see if there is aoperational difference.

Chuck - you said a while back that this was going into the FAQ. Has this been done yet? For that matter, I cannot even find a link to any online FAQs : the tech support pages don't show any links and neither do these forums.....

If you take a look at the Forum's main menu:

You'll notice that the FAQs are currently located in the forum.
Yes, I requested this be added to the FAQ back at the time you recall. I checked, and confirmed that the information had not yet been added to the FAQ. I wrote an entry myself and added it to the LightWave General section.
