I was told that the tricaster studio is the minimum that we can use for a timewarp. Is this in fact true and anyone know where I can find such a unit used?

A TimeWarp can be used with any "2.0" TriCaster. So it can be used with the TC Pro or Studio.

Keep in mind that using Time Warp will tie up at least one DDR, so depending on your need, you may need a model with two DDRs.
