Does anyone have a solution to this?

I have 10 points, left of center, in a line, all 10 cm apart.
I morphed them right of center, in a line, all same apart.
I made a chain of bones.
I load them into layout. Convert bones, and make a bent path for the morph to move along. Just like this tutorial (http://www.md-arts.com/MorphSkelegons_Modeler.htm)
I turn the points into an emitter, which basically makes a particle for each point using obj-vertices nozzle
I want to finally FXlink boxes to those particles/points that are following the morphed, bent bone path.

The problem is, the particles are created at 0, but dont follow the points.

Is there a trick to get the particles to follow its parent points?

Tricky eh?

Of course, Ive hit FXSTART!
And yes, the point/polys morph along the bent bone path fine...but the emitted particles do not!

Thanks!

Welllll, I get points coming from the skelegon points as well as the morphing points, which is a bit silly, but removing those, it works on mine (using fxstart). Care to post me your scene?

Here's my scene, if it's any help:

Thanks Dodgy,

Here is a Test Scn (http://www.3dink.com/bonetest.zip)
Yeah, everyone thinks they have it working, but look at my scene.
Basically, you cannot constantly emit particles, only lets say 10 at the start, so 10 fxlinked boxes can work.

Notice the particles dont move with the emitter pts.

Ah, now I see what you're trying to do! I really you should be doing this with follower, using either time delay or path delay and keying the first box and getting the others to follow that.

If you want to follow the particle route, use a wind in path mode, and key that to the motion you want to follow. Try that I have to go now, but have a look at that...And if you do, make your particles lifetime longer...

lifetime of 0 = equals NEVER die! lol why doesnt anyone know this?

anyway, thanks for the follower tip...but I would like to get pfx and linker to do this if possible.

Look at this :) It's along the lines you want... But getting the points to come out regularly is a basket :)
