Okay, I know....
Use the DDR. my users probably wouldn't appreciate the simplicity of the DDR for CG playback. they get lots confused.
Anyway, Is there a way to launch alternate default CGs, i.e., slate template or sample lower third. I REALLY Hate the defaults!! SwampThing just makes me ill.

In C:\VT3\Skins\CG drag the templateNTSC.cg and TemplatePAL.cg out of the directory. I keep a "Bits of Skin" folder on our fileserver for storing stuff like this.
Launch VT3 and voila! NO stinky default CG pages! Yay!

Unless I'm mistaken, those default pages went away with Video Toaster [2]. Here's what ya do:
- Open VT[3] CG
- choose File | New to clear out the project
- Go to Templates tab upper right, and choose 4 or 5 applicable pages out of the 100-odd broadcast-ready Templates you're now provided, adding them to your project.
- Close CG
Now, the next launch will open CG with those pages.

Nah Paul, those TemplatePAL.cg and TemplateNTSC.cg were still in the directory.
Thanks for the setup for new defaults.
Now about those contextual menus??
:D
