Is there a way from the DDR or thru Ted that I can playback a clip in real-time by just playing every so many frames. For example: every 30 frames, so that it plays a certain frame and then skips out the other ones?
Is there a macro for this? I have a client who gave me security camera footage with 6 cameras and they want all the video from camera 1 thru 6 each on a separate tape. If I digitize all 2 hours then have to strip it into frames and edit were talking millions of frames.
What's the best option?

if you go to the options tab of the capture panel you will see that there is a Time lapse. Check it and enter the time interval that you want each frame to be captured. For example if you enter 00:00:02.00 then one frame will be captured every 2 seconds.
I hope this helps.

Yeah I tried this but it's hard to do it accurately when playing tape from a SVHS deck or after pre-digitizing and then recording the time lapse thru the program out.

The other thing you can do is to digitize everything using the DV codec, since it only takes up about 13 gigs per hour. If you got a total of 6 hours it'll eat up about 80 gigs.
Once digitized you put them on your timeline and use the hold still filter. Place the first one with the appropriate lenght and then copy paste.

I'm getting you a little bit but can you describe more accurately. I know how to use hold filter. The video changes remember from six diffrent camera shots one at a time that hold for about a half a second each. Please explain in detail....
Thanks....

Okay here it goes. I fully understand what you are trying to achieve and I think this should work.
You know that each camera holds for half a second. so that gives us a 15 frame count per camera. this means that we have 15 x 6 which gives us 90 frames. So in theory if you place a still filter on the first frame of camera one and give it a length of 90 frames then copy and paste you should always land on frames for camera 1. Or it might be 85 frames. Test and see before you copy paste the whole project.
once one cam is done all you have to do is select the clip and shift it a bit so that the hold still filter lands on the first frame of cam 2. Once that is done you can do cam 3 then cam 4. You get the picture I'm sure
hope this helps out.

Yes this works but then the frames are too long. Any ideas how to shorten them back down to 15 frames (half a second)?
thanks.

Select all and make it a subproject. Then speed it up about 400% to 500%.
Sorry it took long to post back I had to step out.
Went to meet my Dad at the Airport while he was in transit. Hadn't seen him in 3 years
