Another idiotic question from me. I am pretty good at reading manuals (which I have read all of Aura) and learning on my own. I've had zero education in video production, I'm all self taught. This Aura thing is kicking my butt. Much harder to me than lightwave. - So, I have a project that I would like to render so I can use it on my timeline in a project I'm trying to edit. What's the easiest way to do that? It's an animation brush.

If the animbrush is already at video res, all you need to do is make sure it's in an appropriate file format. Are you using a Toaster[2]? (In that case, you would likely RTV format.)

If it is smaller than that, say in the nature of the traditional "spinning globe" and you want to lay that over video in your timeline, past the animbrush down over a suitable length of video res frames in an anim layer in Aura, position to taste, and export as an RTV with alpha.

I don't really follow that exacty? But its a company name spinning like a windmill with some other layers in it. Do I export the sequence? And yes I'm using Toaster2. I just can't find where to export it as an RTV.?

OK, terminology sometimes get's in the way...

You said it was an "animbrush." An animbrush is just like any other brush, save that is has sequential frames. It can be in many resolutions and can be pasted down in a variety of ways in an Aura project. A video sequence can be used as an animbrush, or it could be much smaller (or bigger.) That's why I asked.

It sounds as though you have already created a project that has the animation combined with some background layer. So yes, assuming it (the project) is in the correct resolution for the Toaster (720x486, ODD, .9 aspect), all you need to do is set Aura's File>Mode menu point to RTV, and Export the sequence as "filename.rtv" Again, if you want to retain any transparency, use RTV with Alpha mode.
