Hey all:
Does anyone know what the appropriate running temperature for a Xeon 2.4 GHz CPU is? I've tried to find it at Intell with no luck.
Also, CPU 1 is running at 41 degrees Celsius and CPU 2 is running at 33 degrees Celsius. Is that normal to have that difference in temperature between CPUs?
Also, when I booted up the temp on CPU 1 rose quickly to 54 degrees Celsius and than down to 41 degrees Celsius. Is that normal? I assume the temp increase is due to Widnows XP loading.
Here are my specs.
OS: Windows XP Professional
MB: P4DC6+
CPU: 2 Xeon 2.4GHz
RAM: One Gig Kingston RDRAM
Video: Gainward GeForce 4
Chassis: AMS Rackmount ATX Extended
Thermal Inidcator: Digital Doc 2
IDE 1 : 2 seagate drives(system and backup)
IDE 2 : DVD: Sony DRU-500AX and 1 seagate drive(DVE drive)
Floppy drive: Sony
Monitoring temp with Digital Doc 2
Thanks for the help.
