Hello,
Is there any way with toasterscript, to clik on the switcher main bus 1 and automaticly to load the preset 1 in the tabbed keyer.
thanx,

OK, maybe I was not clear enough....the thing is that:
Once I asked if it is possible to use toaster as 4+ channel chroma keyer and the answer was no, now it turns out that it is possible.
I made this script and its working fine.. maybe it needs testing with better machines for using .rtv files as backgrounds but for stills works just fine, also I dont have BOB so... I need someone to test it with it too.
The script is not done yet.. it needs shortcut to start, or maybe button at the switcher to activate it..but that is not a problem. For now just place it in VT3\skins\tabbedswitcher\User Scripts and if you dont need it remove it from there. It should work with VT4 too.
What it does is locking main bus with the preview bus... so if you press on main bus 1 you automaticly get 5th bus set as preview...2 main with 6 preview and so on. So all you need is to open 4 or more DDR`s with different still`s, set 4 or more camera channels and simply switch. It can be used up to 12 channels.(4 for now since the keyer can store only 4 presets.. or?)
The only thing that I am not pleased with is that I can not automaticly load chromakey pressets for every channel.
Every camera have different light angle and it will need different chromakey settings... I dont know how to "link" the swither and the tabbed keyer. Looks like the keyer does not know wich bus is set.. getprogramrow() is not working for the keyer. Loadsettings will load the switcher settings not the tabbed keyer`s.
I have even tried to #INCLUDE script on every switcher mouseclick from the keyer`s dir that will just loadsettins.. but not working.
I have no expiriance with programing at all, so any idea is welcome.
P.S. Rename 4chChroma.toasterscript.txt into 4chChroma.toasterscript

In my experience on TScript, you can not link to other module unless you do it by C++. The TScript have scope only on the module it belong. You can not call keyer in switcher nor call switcher from keyer.
How about just creating a script so you can automatically turn on the keyer every time you switch to a particular channel and automatically shut it off when you switch to a different channel. That way you could for example, have the Keyer ON when you select the camera pointed at your Weather Man (who you want in front of a keyed wheather map) and have the keyer automatically turn off when you switch to the camera on your News Anchor. Every time you switch back to weather man the keyer automatically turns on and the preview bus automatically goes to whatever channel has your weather map still.
Is this possible with Toaster Script?

We can control switcher from tabbed keyer.
This is inspired form other discussions in the forums, and most form IMPERIAL. Hope this help.

What I am doing is modify skin (and add ToasterScript to those button) of tabbed switcher/keyer to add four button that
1. load keyer preset
2. select switcher program/preview channel (1/4, 2/5, 3/6, 4/8)
You have to set the keyer preset first to avoid error. Also, must assign video source to the switcher channel you are using.
I test them under VT[4], I am not sure they will work for VT[3] or not.

Hi everyone, I just installed this scripplus in my system and it works fine, exept for a just little think...
When I cut main 1 to main 2 or main 3 I got a little delay between my preview row and main row, I using 3 y/c input and using DDR to generate my background, is there a way to sync this, because itīs strange that the background appears a little early then the cameras. thanks a lot, Mzafrany, this scrip is a very cool thing.

Here is a new Switcher skin based on the previews Script. It solves the delay problem and adds functionality. Let me know what you think.
I love TScript!

I'm not able to test it with sources, but I did load it up and try it out. Looks great!
Does it have a glitch when changing sources? I assumed you couldn't do a clean cut of everything at once.
Good work!

Well Mzafrany, you did a really great job on this script, it works great but I still have this small delay between DDR source and YC source, I tried DDR source and DV source and it works just fine, but I can't work with this setup because of the audio delays.
I don't think that this delay can be fixed with script, I'm thinking that is a hardware problem.
I'll try to get a Canopus ADVC300 to convert DV to componnent so I can test my cameras signal trough firewire and connect to SX-84.
Thanks a lot.

Hey Moshe
I took your tabbed switcher for a test drive. Pretty neat. You need to add in your pdf to copy scriptplu.TOAST into your Plugins/VT directory.
I have gotten it to work, with the exception that I could either luma key or chromakey, but I could not make a set up to switch between the modes. It seems the last setting in the keyer is what you get.
Do you see what I am saying?
You could do this example.
I used a TV broadcast feed as the background.
I use the green screen clip of Andrew's dog that ships with every VT system. I used the chromakeyer and got rid of the background and followed your instructions and stored this as "1." Then I used another DDR and loaded up the American Flag Clip. I chose Luma Key this time and made the white parts of the image transparent and then saved as "2"
I just used these two Keyer Combos to test. What I noticed is that the keyer stays in the last set state.
Is there a way to make it remember the settings as well?
You have made something very very cool.
Who would have thought you can layer three streams and a matte?
Well my friend, you have found a way to do it.
Hats off to you from across the ocean.
Very nice work. I am not a programmer, so I love tools, but I have to wonder how you make things like this.

.
The first thing in the PDF under installation it tells you to do that.

Did You open the keyer windows (not the tabbed one) and stored the keyer settings using a right klick on the keyer window? Do not store using presets.

Hi there...
I did the folowing:
Connected my camera source trough firewire cable to a DV converter and the DV converter to SX84 trough a YC cable, and using DDR as a Background generator for my chroma. So in main row 1, 2, 3 I have DDR1, DDR2, DDR3 and in preview row 5, 6, 7 I have YC1, YC2, YC3. when using the combo switcher and key I still have that delay, the background appears first than the YC source.
If I use in preview row 5, 6, 7 a DV signal, or another DDR the cut goes fine, both Background and Chroma.
I'm going crazy.
to do the cuts I'm doing this:
with RS-8 I hit the preview row and after a little bit while, almost at the same time, I hit the main row. thats the way its working.
I few sorry for that, because the script is real good.

I don't think it's a genlock issue. I believe it's an SX-84 response time issue. I might need Newtek's help on this. They are very busy with NAB so I think a full solution will take some time. I do have some ideas to solve this. I need to find the time and test. Soon I hope.

I am trying to use the VT[4] for Virtual Set production. 3 backgrounds in DDR and 3 cameras shooting on green screen. My cameras are connected component to the SX-84, and I hope to be connecting SDI as soon as the 8 input card is released.
Has a solution been found for the delay issue between background and foreground?
