I´m making a blend between 3d and 2d animation, my problem is:

Lightwave have field rendering, wich gives smooth playback on video. What i would like to know is how can i convert a sequence of scanned drawings (100 drawings for example) to fields, for smooth playback on video, and eventually make a perfect blend between lw output and 2d art.

Is it possible to make it in Digital fusion, or After Effects, or do i need a special program?

Thanks in advance.

You will need two drawings/frame for field look.

Just make the animation twice as long as the desired length (like if it was slomo), and speed it up by 200% to get fields.

What program do you use to make that, Halsu? Thanks for the general idea, i´m understanding better. But can you tell me what operators can i call in Dfusion or After Effects to achieve that? Or if you have a link for a tutorial, can you point me to it? I tried in digital fusion and your tip doesn´t work... :(

I don't have Digital Fusion, but here's how to do it in AE:

1. Import your animation

2. In the layer options, set the time stretch factor to 50% (same as 200% speed)

3. In the render options, make sure you you have set field render to either upper or lower first (it depends on your system which is the correct one).

4. Render. Done.
