Hi guys in ligjtwave how would you do fallof for reflection?
OK just say u had a room lit using procedurals and a chair in the centre.
The chair reflect on the floor with a falloff. How?

you may fake it in post doing a blur on reflection passes - an option if you do stills, but the 'real thing' is the hypersmooth shader by evasion3d:

- rather expensive but worth every cent if you do interiors professionally...

i don't know of any other options.

Hmm, I dont know if you are meaning reflection blurring or "fading" the reflection when distance grows, but Ill give some tips for both of em, hopefully youll find them usefull. Fading the gradient, you might want to try setting gradient - incidence angle to reflection channel. And to blur it, yes, fastest way would be doing it in post, but you can do this also in lw. In texture editor, environment tab and reflection blurring. Altho I have to say a word of warning, your rendering times will skyrocket when using reflection blurring, so use it carefully... :)

Another way of reflection blurring a surface is to add a very fine fractal bump map to the surface :)
