howdy fellows,
been having a few problems with my aura install and i was wondering if anyone could gimme some tips.
1) aura 2.5 does NOT share the same directory as 2.0 but 2.5 is missing most of 2.0's folders and files like plugins and such.
2) i CANNOT create a NEW profile when i launch aura 2.5... it says that it cannot write the .cfg file....
3) i have a wacom tablet but drawing does NOT seem to be affected in anyway by pressure sensitivity.
thanks.

There are 2 versions available:
one for the full version and another for the upgrade from [2.5] or [2.0]

howdy,
none of those links work.
BTW,
i don't understand why the update did not work because i do indeed have aura 2.0....
thanks

Did you go here?
http://www.newtek.com/products/videotoaster/aura/Downloads/index.html
About Wacom: did you add Aura as an application? All Other Apps. is not enough.

okay,
so i've found the download links for aura under video toaster 3 but there does NOT seem to be a STAND ALONE aura 2.5b download... only an UPGRADE.
and the problem is that it says that you can apply this upgrade to either 2.5 or 2.0... but this is NOT the case!!!
the 2.5b upgrade looks for a folder called aura2.5 to install its upgrade to. but if you are running aura 2.0, it creates a NEW FOLDER called aura2.5 and so you get another installation that is missing most of the aura files!!!!
ACK!!! WTF?!?!?!
so:
1) install aura 2.0 off cd.
2) install the 48mb 2.5 upgrade.
3) install the 11mb 2.5b upgrade.
you CANNOT install 2.5b onto a 2.0 installation!
ARGH!
oh, i figured out the wacom pressure issue... i didn't realize that you have to configure each tool to use pressure as an input in aura.... the 'all applications' works fine for me.
anyhoo, thanks paul.

Jin, try here (ftp://ftp.newtek.com/pub/Aura/Patches/) for the 2.5 installer and the 2.5b update.
2.5 completely replaces 2.0 so don't bother installing from your CD - just install 2.5 then 2.5b.

Couldn't you upgrade to 2.5b from a 2.0 CD install?
I just did it and it is working fine so far. As far as the Aura2.5 directory vs. Aura2 directory, I used custom install and directed it right on top of the Aura2.
Only problem I see is they moved some of the dll's out of datas directory so now I have a few duplicates but it works ok...
