Very nice!

I like the overall lighting feel.

By the waym did you use F-Prime for final render? just curious to know becasue I'm interested to get F-prime for architecutral rendderings.

Yes I used Fprime for everything, can't depend on LW renderer for archi nomore, just too slow for GI. As soon as the new FPrime came out it had new lighting quality modes that made everything look even better and the MP support gave more time for tweaking. New Fprime update came in at the right time.
I recommend it as default for every archi LW owner.
Im sure others would agree.

This is not to say i have written LW renderer off, NT WILL improve it for us.
For now I have to have speed.

Ade,

Can you tell me how lonf did it take to rendering and how you set up the scene.

Thanks,

I would get F-Prime as soon as I can fix my LW problem, constantly crash when switching between Modeler and Layout. I guess now it because ATI with dual screen set up. With one monitor, it works as far as now fine. Having no idea while I paid for my second monitor,

Thanks again

Im using one Area light at 550 strength, radiosity via FPrime at 120, light quality at 0.8 and 10 bounces. Spec maps used for walls and 4 bounce reflections.

What is your computer setup?

I especially like the baroque chairs ;-) But what does the wood between the two statues do their. I would hit the interior designer very hard....

Nice scene, but the two statues look odd, i think they are a bit to big. Are they 2d ?

And the brick wall needs some improvement. Just clone the brick texture and change small things in image editor, for example less saturated or so. Than put a procedural as an alpha for both brick maps. That adds a little variation.

Hello Ade,

Just casting an eye on the bricks on the left hand side.
Is it the camera or are the bricks stretched horizontally,
more so than on the facing back wall.

Please keep posting.

Looks great. A couple of things.

Floor:
Tone down the reflection on the floor - it's way too much. Someone could slip and fall :-)

Wall:
Add some diffuse noise on your walls using a couple of layers of fractal noise scaled and rotated differently.
Add diffuse gradient based on bump on your walls to control the look of your grout versus the brick

Etc:
The light fixture, though balancing the image, is a little distracting IMO.

Still, very well done. Keep the work coming in.

Hello Ade,

Looking again at the images. I hope you are not sorry for posting them.
But I just noticed that there are no people reflected in the floors.
So maybe reducing the reflection on the floor would help to hide this in some way.
"nthused" mentioned this already, I just wanted to expand on it.

Also the large statue on the right hand side.
He/It is not on a base, for you can see this through the legs of the chairs.
Would it not be a bad idea to place him on a plinth / pedestal. I would also agree with "ingo" they do seem a bit out of proportion, but who can really tell.

By the way we are only all making these points because, I think you have done a really terrific job. We wantyou to get it better so we can try and emulate you.

Maybe when you are finished you will post your .lws file so people can have a look at your light setting and the sort. I think this is what interests us most.

Keep posting, for I live a life of Rococo
