Ok guys, related to archviz so thought I'd post it here :) I have a car, motion is on a curved path with accelaration and decelaration. Which is the best way to go to get the wheels to match so they don't slip? Not too bothered with the front wheels turning, just the rotation really. Would Prem's relativity do it? I have a bit of knowledge of expressions but not too much. I can think mathematically, I just haven't sat down with the manual and trudged through it all so was hoping they'd be a lovely 'make-it-so' button somewhere out there in pluginland ;)

Cheers,

Maybe you could give this one a try:

I needed to animate tracks but I hadn't relativity and was not entirely pleased with amelie results when backward movement was needed (it works ok for forward movement, though). So, I wrote this script. Model your cars facing Z axis, with pivot point in the middle of each wheel. Apply the script to the pitch rotation channel for each wheel. You'll be asked to choose a reference object. You can choose the wheel itself or a null parented to it. You can study the small scene I have zipped in the same thread.
Don't hesitate to contact me if you need aditionnal info.

Thanks for that HD :) I've found a self-contained zip file which may be yours, posted somewhere else, so it looks like I have some fun ahead of me for the weekend working through it :) It's really helpful :D

Cheers!!

It seems to be that Worley has a plug-ins for that purpose...
You must check on their web site...
