Ok. I look at the RS-8 USB thingy on NewTek's website, and it looks....nice. But definitely not a thousand dollars nice. The function and number keys would work fine for me in selecting my preview and program inputs, so all i would really need is a lever and a few buttons to do the rest, right? Well what's wrong with using a gaming throttle control? They've got lots of buttons nowadays that could theoretically be programmed to do different tasks, such as DSK work and auto/take. The best thing though is that you can get a very nice one for $150 compared with $1000 for the RS-8....which if I may say so myself is a souped up throttle control in the first place. Any technical problems with this or is it just not a feature so we'll get the RS-8?

It would make far more sense to use the right tool for the job.
Instead of hacking a gaming device to do the job, why not use the very affordable ShuttlePRO controller, which will enjoy dedicated support within VT[3]?

yeah, that'd probably work better, and much more affordable than the sr-8. i'll give it a try. thanks!
