Hi

Heres a link to an early version of a game Im currently working on. Its in the very early stages (be gentle LOL). Ive been workin on it for a bit and decided I need to put it "out there" to get other peoples comments/crits. Models are done in Lightwave and the games coded in Director (Shockwave 3D). It takes aprox 1min30 to load on 1meg Broadband. Its worth the wait ; )

Hey Kaiten!

That's really neat, I've never seen a 3D shockwave game.
Nice job, make sure you tell us when it's all finished.

Thats cool. I like the artistic look it has. Have you set the Yon of the camera? It looks like things gets clipped in the far back of the camera. Remember that LW's 1 meter = 100 ShockWave units, so if you create a large world in LW, it might provide the ShockWave3D engine with extreme values.

Perhaps you can add a jetpack to the player, and possibility to tilt the camera up and down with the mouse. That would improve it alot I think.

Great stuff

Hi

Thanks for taking the time to have a look guys.

patterms> thanks a few people have suggested a jump button, its possible to use the environment as ramps ( you can get quite a good height). I think i'll have a look at adding this feature to the game.

thanks again

looking good... few points:

Try using an xtra to control the mouse. MoveCursor is a cool shockwave Xtra that gives you full control of the mouse - www.directorXtras.com.

The camera seems too low - it feels as if you're going under the spheres.

Speed control! (guess that's on your list to do anyway ;-)

We're running a games competition at Miniclip.com - check it out and enter!

I would like to see how this is shaping up in future versions.
