windows dead alert message (in french):"erreur de démarrage du programme, le fichier WINDOWSMEDIALIB.DLL est lié à une exportation manquante KERNEL32.DLL:OpenThread"
(in english something like that): "error starting program, the file WINDOWSMEDIALIB.DLL is linked to a missing exportation KERNEL32.DLL:OpenThread"
forced to uninstall and re-install previous Aura2.5... (I have to work with...)
thanks for help.
I posted this yesterday in another thread, seems like we are having the same problem.
"Has anyone succesfully updated to 2.5b on NT? I am upgrading from 2.0, but I didn`t want to mess up my current working installation (as 2.5 kept crashing on launch) so I installed 2.5 first to a seperate directory and then upgraded that version to 2.5b...Unfortunately Aura doesn`t even launch anymore. All I get is a warning message:
"aura25.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point Thread32First could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll."
There was a message earlier about copying the key file to some location on the harddisk but I can nolonger find it since NewTek redesigned the site.
Any help appreciated."

Copy FROM C:\Program Files\Newtek\AuraVideoPaint [2.5]\Datas\program.key
To C:\Aura25 and/or plus \data (dir)
The problem is Aura2.5b patch does Not search for the Aura25.exe and does a New install
Or you can install if you point to your current directory. Backup you original files first.
Good luck Mike
Thanks Mike, but nothing`s doing.
I tried your suggestion plus every other thing I can think of (short of installing directly on version 2.0 which I dare not mess up..), still won`t work.
First I installed 2.5 in a seperate directory (of course it crashed on startup).
..Then I installed 2.5b in the same directory..which wouldn`t even launch.
..Then I copied program.key into Data and D:\Aura25...Didn`t work.
..Then I copied the program.key from the working version 2.0..Still nothing.
I think it has to do with NT.
I wonder if anyone has been able to successfully upgrade on NT?

Make sure the Aura2.5 icon you are clicking is POINTING its PATH to the NEW C:\Aura25\aura25.exe Registry Set File(right click Icon and look at path-you can reset it).
If that does not work as a last resort you might buy a piece of hardware(i.e. harddrive) to qualify for a WinXPpro discount. M$ NT is not being supported anymore. If my Win2k weren’t so perfect, that would be my logical path. Good luck Mike
