Too bad about reelmotion.
I've had good luck with using Vertigo...
http://www.andynicholas.com/thezone/index.php?area=downloads
Allows vehicles to go over terrain with suspension dynamics, etc.

There is this (http://www.newplugins.com) , but it requires MAX and a good translator like PolyTrans :(

Hiya, I'm currently in the process of writing a wheel turning plugin, would you like to try it out?

I've done a few vehicle animations in LW
Quicktime example (http://www.onthez.com/temphosting/H3_Test.mov)
Ignore the strange motion blur I renedered this as a bug example when using Fprime and dual processors with mo-blur.
I made use of Dodgy's SpringyThingy2 and Andy Nicholas vertigo everything else was native LW.
Dodgy, I messed around with the idea of writing a plugin to do this but my skills are no where near being able to do even simple plugin development. If you are interested I'll pass along any info I have. I think a vehicle plugin would be a great addition to the LW community.

If anyone is still looking, I have an original ReelMotion copy that I would be willing to part with. It has the the original box, CD, authorization codes :deal: , parallel dongle and even the ReelMotion T-shirt that came with the package. If interested, please PM.
Thanks,
