Funky name for a funky marvel of Russian engineering few decades ago.

At the moment it's missing detail such as control surfaces, windows, panel lines etc.

Untextured as well, just faked the windows in photoshop for the comp test :)

That has to been one of the strangest designs I have ever seen for a plane, I cant believe it was actually built!

That`s the `Caspian Sea Monster` isn`t it?

Saw a programme about it on the Beeb a few years ago. Bloomin` eeeynormous it was! Fantastically energy efficient, too.

Yup, it's one of the bigger WIG crafts (wing in ground-effect) that fly just a few meters off the surface at 400-500km/h. Caspian Sea Monster was another beast, much bigger (and uglier, in a cool way) than Orlyenok.
There's still all kinds of hull steppings and stuff missing, but it's coming along. :)
