I am trying to use Pixel Tracker, but I'll be damned if I can get it to work, despite having seen a demo of it and reading the manual. Unfortunately, the manual is fine up through the point of actually setting the track, but it doesn't give a clue as to how to actually apply a filter to it.

So, I've succeeded in establishing the track, but when I apply a filter it simply stays in one place. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Time to visit the turorial section of the Aura pages my friend :) - if you have any questions about that, post again - Id type it all out myself here, but Im lazy :)

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm afraid the tutorials were of no help (I had already tried one, in fact, although I failed to mention that in my original message).

The one titled "Export Aura [2] Pixel Tracking to Lightwave" is much like the manual in that it doesn't tell you how to apply the filter--it seems to assume you already would know that. And the one titled "Pixel Tracking and Stencils" seems to have a step left out between creating the brush and applying the filter (at least that's my guess). I tried it three times, being careful to follow the instructions meticulously, but no luck. Again, I can create the track, but I'm not able to apply a filter to it.

Never mind!

I got it to work. I was right, the instructions in the tutorial were not quite complete. It fails to mention that you need to have the "Source" in the Key Framer on "Brush." I should have known that from doing other animations, but had forgotten.
