I am currently putting some video work to DVD and tape. I want to know what everyone else uses as I am having problems exporting.

My problems lie in the fact that I am using a 2d line drawing (with very fine lines) and going into a 3d version of the scene. When I export it, even as uncompressed AVI format the lines look like BBBEEEEPPP.

Anyone wanna share what they use??

When you say "and going into a 3d version of the scene", what do you mean? Are you using the avi as a background/foreground or are you using it as a surface? Images with fine lines may have problems being used as image maps. Also, they can be problematic if you are eventually going out to video with it.

Are you using Lightwave? An uncompressed avi should not degrade in any way going to another application.

It's like I said, I am taking a 2d line drawing, that is animated and going to a 3d scene. All I did was rendered what I wanted in Lightwave, opened aura, loaded the 2d bmp series of images, loaded my 3d tga series, faded between the 2 to give a nice transition and now I want to put the finished project to disc. I found that RGB32 works really well in uncompressed. It doesn't alais my lines like the UYUV and UYUV2 (or there abouts) does.

I am still interested in finding out what others use.
