Here's something I've been working with off-and-on since my junior yr of highschool... Just recently I cleaned up the mesh and started animating. The new catmull-clarks were helpful in cleanup. I used them in the initial cleanup and was able to go all quads later. Classic sub-d's are my favorite --
When I started animating, it was odd to see Peter moving smoothly, so I decided to reanimate the scene with stepped keys, to give it an almost stop-motion feel. It really mimics the show, I think. Also, you might think he's not fat enough. I agree. Don't worry, I'm currently making a naked Peter (eww) that IS fat enough -- He's naked so I can put cloth sim on him. I'm also gonna make a Maya version... Maya cloth sim is much more accurate.
I posted a screenshot and a clip -- comments and criticism, please!

Nice model, but you should study anatomy a bit. The testicles are located much further down.

Not quite sure if your serious or joking. If your serious, thats the way Peters chin really looks, there has been a few references in episodes that point out the fact it looks like he has testicles on his chin :)
Im also assuming you watch Family Guy

Here's the naked model - *shudder*
The mesh needs tweaking, but it really doesn't need to be
flawless, it just has to look ok under the clothes.
Crit on the mesh please, I want him to deform well. It'll be hard enough as it is, cuz fat guys are hard to animate :bangwall:
I'm gonna go ahead and re-rig him, the rig he's on now was made in 2004

Oh my god Aaron, long time no see.
Seth.
still go with your Peter model. Not really sure i like your idea of the stop motion type movement for the character. It begins to look a bit funky with a 3d pupet.
having fun up in Indi on your free ride.
