LW8 with VT3?

Flay.Com mentions in suspiciously small print that LW8 will be included with VT3. Is this true? If not, is there some sort of discount available if we purchase both the LW8 (for Lightwave standalone) and VT3 upgrades? Thanks.

Last week, Paul Lara stated that the decision of whether or not to include a free upgrade to Lightwave [8] in VT[3] has not been made yet.

Not quite sure where Flay gets that idea, Chris.
Could you show me that page? I'd tried to find it earlier.

Anyway, the 7.5-to-[8] upgrade offerred for LightWave stand-alone animators is different than the 'buy VT [3] and get 7.5' offer for editors.

At this time, it is not likely that [8] will be offered as an automatic free upgrade to VT customers.

It DID seem a little insane! Gotta choose between a T3 upgrade or a Lightwave 8 upgrade with DFX deal. T3 seems like a sure thing but that eyeon deal looks mighty tasty too.

Yeah, their subhead makes claims that our announcement never mentions.

Paul I watched the VT3 Demo via the web stream today, WOW! VT3 is impressive. Is there an upgrade path from LW to VT, meaning is there unique pricing to purchase VT3 if you own LW?

Paul's not back yet, but yes, there is.

The Canadian MSRP (noticed you're a Northern boy, Fausto!) for VT[3] from LW - as of a couple days ago - is $3,493. Your local dealer will likely beat that, as most (including me) would :)

Yes, CAD$ - and again, that's only MSRP. Any Canadian dealer would likely almost certainly match or beat your cost from outside the country - if you find that's not so, just give me a call.
