Like a majority of editors, i'm editing using only shortcuts (except scrub and navigation). On other edit suites
I found more shortcut possibilities than in TED. here is a selection of what, I think, are the best workflow improvements newtek could add in TED.
1- Possibility to choose his own keybord shortcuts (like in lightwave) and save them into a file.
2- Shortcut to extend selected clip to timebar ("Q" "W")
3- shortcut to move the selected clip to the time bar (at his in-point)
4- Shortcut to fade in-out from time bar to beggining-end of selected clip ("Ctrl+Q" fade in "Ctrl+W" fade out)
5- Shortcut to select the first clip, under timebar position
6- group-ungroup selected clips (grouped clips moves together when moving one of them)
- Shortcut (Numpad +/-) to jump to head and tail of clips, intersection of 2 clips, and/or markers. in the timeline.
7- Shortcut to "mute" selected clip (video and audio independently).
8- Shortcut to create subproject
9- shortcut to ripple subsequent clip when moving one. (shift when moving)
10- wheelmouse button to navigate in timeline like hand tool in photoshop.
11- Wheelmouse up-down for zoom in-out at time bar position
12- Shift-left clic anywhere in timeline (even on clips) for scrubbing, with the posibility to lock-unlock that option (shift-up select clips, shift-down scrub <--> shift up scrub, shift down select clips
OR
forget contextual menus on right mouse button (use shortcut and right mb for getting them) and : select with letf mb and scrub with right mb
13- A treeview in the filebin like explorer.
14- possibility to disable "Snap to time increments"
15- apply the effects on a clip in the property pannel would be good.
16- Numpad 4-6 to mouve a clip one frame to the letf-right, 8-2 to move a clip one track up-down
17- Arrows in the property pannel (positionning) to nudge the image pixel by pixel, (with shift) 10 pixel by 10 pixel.
18- apart from that i would love to see photoshop-like curves and transfer modes. "search" for moved files.
That's all for now. =)
