:help: Having a very hard time trying to use Selective Color, want to re-color certain parts of my Video, without having to go to DFT. My dealer can't get it to work either, can someone help.

Can you be more specific about what you are having trouble with?

Just to point it out in case it was overlooked, there are about 5 pages in the manual discussing the use of Selective Color correction tools, beginning with section 5.3.4.

I am aware about the manual, I have read this section several times, although I can get color correction by applying the manuals instruction, I cannot use it to do SELECTIVE CC. (EX) to correct only face, or sky or water or trees, or etc. Need a comprehensive tutorial to use this unit, and will it work the same way with Aux 1-2-3.

It helps me to think of selective color as being comprised of two parts - first, the selection, and then the colour processing.

In this context, selection is basically like doing keying. This is the trickiest bit, I think. You basically need to define a set of pixel attributes that are unique to the face (in this case.) Otherwise, of course, your colour correction will pop up elsewhere in the image too. Decide whether to use Luma or Chroma for the selection, then pick a base key color or shade, using the color swatch in the control panel, In your case, you'd likely choose Chroma and pick a flesh color.

Use the Key Tolerance and Key Smoothing controls in the Control Tree to refine the selection. (I frequently add some outrageously vibrant color correction temporarily to show me exactly which pixels are being selected by my settings in realtime.)

When the selection is refined to be about as good as you can get it, you're ready for the second part - the actual colour correction. I expect you're clear on this bit, but basically its simplest to use the neighbouring Color Wheel, Brightness and Gamma settings to tweak the existing colour.

The example given in the manual using the balloons comes closest to your task at hand.
