Can someone tell me what the free secondary license for SpeedEDIT allows you to do? I recived a second copy of SpeedEDIT in the mail without a serial number, so I give it to my buddy thinking that it's a copy.

It won't allow him to register it on his computer. I went and got mysecondary license from Newtek and still didn't work. I was under the impression that Netwek gave us a second copy or license to use on another computer. I'm confused.:hat:

It lets you install it on one of YOUR second computers, I believe using the same registration number as your first copy. Your not supposed to give it or sell it to anyone else.

How did you manage to get a free license? Do you also own a VT?

I participated in the beta and am fairly certain there is no "secondary" license with Speed Edit. It "bonds" to your machine and support actually has to do some fancy footwork for you to even install it on a different machine from your first one. It sounds like they might have sent you two by mistake, both pointed to the same account.

I'm pretty sure this is a reference to the (secondary) bonus copy made available to VT[5] upgraders as a little thank you for their patience.

No actually the beta testers were told we were getting an extra SE seat, I do remember that.
