I can not get a clean tga. image sequence into layout. When I replace the dancing girl with my files the current color in the color picker is included as well. This color should be knocked out. I dont know how to tell layout not to send the color in place of the alpha channel. The footage was shot green screen then keyed in Speed Edit. I then rendered a few frames out as a Targa sequence. Any ideas? :help:

Did you replace both sequences of the dancing girl? Both need to be replaced as one is acting as the alpha matte.

When I replaced the first sequence the second one (1) was replaced also.

I did try rceating the alpha manually, this did not solve the issue.

Try this
Load the scene
Replace the color sequence
remove the current alpha sequence
reload the color sequence again
set aplha popup to alpha only

In the original scene we are using an instance of the sequence to create the alpha.

The way I describe here show using the same sequence loaded twice, one as color, one as alpha.

I tried what you recommended; first LW 9.2 will not allow me to load the same sequence twice, the only way to force this was to clone the instance then select alpha only. This made the render worst than before-see the image below.

In LW 9
Load the scene
go to image editor
Select the second Rachel sequence
hit delete key to remove it
Click on first rache sequence
click replace
point to new sequence

go to surface editor
under color channel
hit t
Use Image popup to select new sequence
hit auto size
use texture

go to image editor
select rachel sequence
from Clone popup select duplicate
click on duplicate
use the alpha channel popup and select alpha only

go to surface editor
go to transparency channel and hit t
go to image popup and select second sequence
hit autosize
hit use texture

That should do it and it works on my end.
If you still have an issue, please email me and i will contact you and walk you through it.

sorry for the issue.

It does work.

thanks

I love it when a plan comes together.

This is a known issue that has been fixed in the new rebrand coming soon.
