BobFX plugins now work

I know everyone wants to jump into the upgrade feet first...

But you do realize that if you use BobFX, they won't work in SE 1.2 until there is an SDK for it and Bob gets to update them for it.

Last time I talked with Bob on it recently, there was no SDK for SpeedEDIT 1.2 for him to do anything with yet.

Myself, I really want to try SpeedEDIT 1.2, but I honestly can't afford to lose what I have in BobFX!

Yeah thats the biggest issue with 3rd party - you want or need the VT/SE upgrade but at the expense of loosing your 3rd party items :(

Bob has always come through in a matter of only a few days or weeks. I can't say that in the example of BobFX that we've had any great issue. Like Eugene says, beware if you go in feet first.

Without Bob's efforts there might not be half as many people downloading 1.2 in the first place. ;)

Fortunately NewTek engineering regularly show appreciation for their 3rd party developers in these forums. I'm sure it can be a lonely existence at times for Bob and the others. However they are so very valuable to both the survival of the editor and the proof that the core development of these products should go in one direction or another. NewTek have the grace to continue with their own roadmap plans even if they overlap with someone like Bob's while never actually really doing it better and cutting the 3rd party developer's throat as it were. There is of course a balance.

Do remember that Bob may be concentrating on other NLEs nowadays. So keep him focused and pay BobFX.com a visit. I'm under zero commission for saying this. I'm just an end-user-fan (of Mirage Oasis Title FX in actual fact).

You should not need to re-register just download from www.bobfx.com
on the front page. The demo's will work as full version.
