i'm looking for a way to replace a single color
within an already colored blackoutline

i've found a site (http://www.autoproladu.cz)
that features a colorreplace plug in.

but i'm wondering if there is no way it could be acchieved with the standard Aura2?

i tried changing painting modes
f.i. to tint this keeps the antialias of the line intact
but it doesn't give you much control over the resulting color
(see pic)

any suggestions anyone?

Hi Peter,

Your FloodFill tool should do the trick. Just pick a new color, change your Range settings to a lower number than 255, set Expand to 1 and click on the color you want to replace. With the thick black lines on the images you posted, this should be easy.

Good Luck,
Steve

Turn off anti-aliasing when you use flood fill to avoin the edge.

Right click on fill bucket icon to get your expand options. in Toolbox there's a tool for this; one click on an icon and your color is replaced with a new one...:)

The Color Change tool in ToolBox I think should do exactly what you want it to do. It does NOT do a fill, it does an exact pixel by pixel change from one color to another (including anti-alias variations of that color). I made it for Paul as I recall. Another benefit of the Color Change tool vs using the fill tool (when it works for what you want to do) is that you can apply a color change to a series of frames all at once, regardless of where the color occurs on each frame. ToolBox also has some similar tools for working with alpha channels, etc. Most of the ToolBox tools work with Aura 2.0 and higher.

I think some of the improvements to Aura's fill tool were added in 2.5 or 2.5b... it's been so long, I can't remember when.
