Nice texture work, has the felt looking thing that butterflys have. however nasty stretching on the edges of the wing, this a UV map, if its not I suggest using one next time, if it is then you need to tweak it.

also the model looks way to ridged, bend the body round a bit, make the creature look alive, not just a platic model placed on the glass.

to post multiple images, you will need to host them on a website and then use the image tags (up above the write message bit) to show it.

also size prehaps a bit big, I am 56k tho!

Nice concept, nicely executed.

A couple of suggestions - not sure why, but the stem looks a bit fake in some shots, a bit too insubstantial. Maybe crank up the reflectivity, or specular?

Also I think the main part of the glass at the top looks a bit thick compared to the rest of the design, maybe a bit chunk for the image?

thanks, rei. I fixed the UV to kill the edge stretching. And the first pictures I posted where rendered before I added bones or weight maps, which is why it was so stiff. I rigged an Ik on the wings, with motion mixer to control flutter speed.

I don't like the glass material or the lighting at all (burning) and I'm considering only the butterfly.

I'm not sure which papilio machaon you are modeling, as I told you this is my favourite butterfly, and I tought the insect color and shape look more like this:

I based the model on these two pictures. The body of the butterfly was based on the swallowtail papilio machaon, where as I cheated a little on the shape and color of the wings. The wings are more based on the anartia amathea, because they where easier to model and texture. I think your the only one that acually noticed.;)
