Hi,
I'm looking to put together a website all about building 3d websites. I aim to include tutorials, news, product comparisons etc and could do with as much help as possible with building the required info.
Having played with XSI, lightwave, Max and Director I've learnt the hard way that some of the processes out there are better than others and this is where I need your help.
Which packages or routes have you used to produce 3d for the web/CDs etc and what problems or sucesses have you had along the way.
For example, whilst Lightwave can export w3d to Director it is far from faultless and the exporter is so old that it might as well be in black and white.
How does the above compare to Plasma and if you already have Lightwave, Max, Maya etc would you still buy Plasma. Have you used anark, EON, viewpoint, AXELedge etc
Basically, I'll aim to try and cover most of the questions that would be asked by someone who is new 3d web designs and hopefully warn them of the pitfalls along the way...(did I hear someone say Lightwave w3d exporter with bones?)
