What kind of machine are you running on? None of the stock 3DA stuff should take overnight to render on any reasonable machine (P4 or better)

Im not sure what it is,it is a school machine, but i have been told that it is a server-grade computer. All i know is that we run 5 hard drives & a brand new ati graphics card.we mainly use this computer to record auditorium shows with VT5, and to edit with speed edit.

It also depends on the scene you are rendering.
Some take alot longer than others.
What scene is it?

I have also been told by my broadcasting teacher that rendering can take awile, but come on, this is rendering one frame every 1 1/2 minutes.

I just tried the Spinning Infinite Star Ring Scene on my laptop (single P4 2.8GHz) and it does indeed take about a minute and a half per frame. Just be glad it's not the old days when even on a state of the art 30MHz machine things could take hours a frame:)
