Just curious how some the folks out there are using Aura. I've been thinking about purchasing it and would like to hear some examples of its use. If you have any cool links with examples that would be even better.

To look at this stuff it would be best if you had fast internet connection. I use Aura to draw and paint 2D animation with a Wacom tablet. What you will find at this link is work in progress; some pencil tests, some scenes opaqued, all sound tracks are in development. When finished, this will be a 30 minute PBS special made of five stories on the subject of loneliness. I upload these periodically for our producer so he can follow our progress (and approve payments :-) An interesting note here: I have never met him; all our dealings have been electronic.

Those were really good. So, that was all done in Aura? Not hand sketches scanned in?

Thanks. All done paperlessly in Aura by my wife and myself. I edit the scenes in DPS/Velocity, which is lockstepped with Aura.

Well, Thanks again Paul. Between you and the videos I got from Terrence Walker today, I think I'll be ordering Aura this week.
It's really too bad more people didn't post on this thread. It would have been really nice to see some of the other work being done out there with it.

Check out the Gallery section to see other people's work and good luck with Aura. You might have generated more interest in the thread if you had described the direction of your interests.

I haven't made enough time to go through the Aura tutorials, and can't figure out how to use Aura on my own, so for now, I only use it for importing Quicktime files or Image sequences to be converted to RTV's....
