Here's a few variations of hair styles made with FiberFX.
I think the hair looks real nice. Very easy to use.

The shading is nice, but the whole think looks so fake as it seems that you are able to spot a pattern. Somehow the same feeling as somebody would be using a tileable brick wall texture on the whole building. That really spoils it. Otherwise cool try!

Thanks people.
I think FFX is pretty good...The fur is applied to one surface, with no effort in getting the combing correct, just different gravity and fur settings to show 9.5's new Fiberfx plug in. There is a LOT more that can be done with the plug in to get more variation. I loved the ability to brush away the hair from in front of the eye...shrink the fur from the bottom of the feet in seconds (all in layout) havn't tried ffx in modeler.

Credit where credit is due.... these don't look particularly fiberFX-y considering the examples i've done. Yes, there is still a kind of uniform pattern to the fur, but it looks like fur and nice fur at that!
Good job, and i like the character too.... wanna see him animated!

Thanks again,
I will definitely animate him, cos if I read correctly the fur from ffx does not animate, just moves with object. To get the fur to animate, all all has to be set up in modeler and dynamics applied to hair guides ( something like that)...I will do a comparison with sasquatch (which I definitely know animates the fur to react to movement).
MAV3RICK: As far as beta testing, um....No. had a look at doing it but the install procedure was too much trouble....why do you ask?

there is new stuff coming inside ffx so if you are interested to apply for beta testing you should to...

I wanna see all of them animated. It's interesting how just a change in hairstyle seems to give the little critters different personalities.
