I think I saw your feathers on another post. You used FiberFX for that, yes? A tutorial is in order if that's the case. It looks great.

yes it is feather boy from the other thread... nice nice... i would play with curves a bit to make more contrast that will fit in image better

Hey alqadi, any chance of up loading the FiberFX preset so we can play around with it. I followed your tutorial but I couldn't get it to work..silly me ;)

So very sweet! The only thing that breaks the realism is the skin round the eye and the eye, maybe some reflections of the straw in the eye will help?
Awesome, although I would lower the brightness of the chick, stands out just a little too much for me.

Hey there are those renders I was looking for! Awesome work!! Very inspiring. I'm glad to see someone tackling FFX in such a way. I hadn't tried my hand yet with feathers, it seemed daunting, but, you showed it is not. :thumbsup:

all over, chick looks flat overall, doesnt comp well into background...
so, cool you can fake feathers, but can you actually use a feather object and FFX to instance it?

this is poly based feathers... bad if u plan to animate object with morphs.

2-I'm not an animator and I'm not planing to animate this.
