As a little personal project of mine, I've been putting a music CD compilation together for my sister. It's an Industrial/Goth/EbM/Darkwave 4 CD set, and this is the base cover. I'll wind up going so far as to putting a bar code and the record company onto it to give it that "Could've bought it in a store" effect I go for when doing any and all packaging projects I get into.
As LW's DOF was giving me issues(I don't know why, all my settings appeared to be right), I rendered out 2 passes, one was the color saved as a PNG file, the other an RLA format. I output a depth matte from After Effects using the RLA, the using the depth matte as a layer mask, used the Lens Blur filter in Photoshop to create the DOF effect.
