I've been so inspired by the recent NPR work by William Vaughan and James Willmott, but I'm too impatient to wait for the article, so I decided to try and work it out for myself. There are still some tweaks to be made (aren't there always?) but I'm pretty happy with the results so far.

Thank you! And yes as for incidence. I think I've just figured out how to do it by light incidence rather than camera, but I need to play with my gradients.
That is indeed great stuff!
I think you need to look at the cross-hatching on the panel(?) just behind her head to the right as it's very 'exact'

Thanks, Bliz. Yeah, it does kinda break down as it gets further away. That's on my list of things to work on for next time. :)

very cool looking! I like how you have that double line, white then black on the edges. It might be nice to see the inside of that outer white line be a little more sketchy also.
