I was recently told that Ben Vost has now left NewTek Europe.
Sad to see him go.
Good luck Ben.

Do you know where is he going though?
Lastly I heard of him he had became immortal and asked us mortals not to interfere with his coding or soemthing!
Wonder where do immortal people go after they leave NT!

It is a tragedy, that's for sure.
He is immortal - we think that Jim Thacker is the only person to have touched him and lived...

Ben sounds like the European version of Chuck Norris.

so where's Ben working at thesedays?
I don't think Ben will mind me saying.
He was made redundant from NTE (due to the economic climate) but has been for some time (and will continue to) work for NT US as a consultant.
So, he's not gone, just shifted emphasis a little. So nothing major to worry about, he's still with us!

That's what I understood.
Ben Rocks! :jam:
NT E and NT US are entirely separate entities, though they have a logo in common ..

He's a talented man capable of speaking multiple languages, so he'll find work. I do know some of his plans, as I like to think we get on quite well (though I haven't touched him either) - but it's not my business to discuss what he ahs up his sleeve.
But all I can say is that he surely wil be missed from his job here. Hopefully he'll still post on these boards.
Best of luck to ya Ben ... ! :D

Good luck Ben, complete and utter gentleman. He'll be alright, all he has to do is bottle that inspiration that he oozes and sell it.

Thank you all so much! You gave me huge chuckles :D As Matt said, I continue to work for NTUS as a consultant (it's also me that puts together the newsletter and profiles), and being made redundant was actually a really good thing. I have thoroughly enjoyed working at NTE, but this will allow me the opportunity to get all those Klingon translation jobs I've dreamed of...

Awwz... for a moment there I read it as NUTS and thought that was a drastic, yet strangely appealing, change of profession. Especially the consultant part had me intrigued. :hey:

Hey Ben,
Sorry to hear that they thought you were redundant, though I think redundant is a poor choice of a word to describe someone.
I wish you luck in what ever direction you decide to take. Just make sure you stay in contact with all of your friends in this community.
Good luck with the consulting job,
Silk

One day you're described as redundant, then you end ask a green cookie :).
This is how awesome Ben is!
He just sorted out my x64 license key out in a matter of seconds, rather than waiting days!
Ben, I salute you! :)
