New forum layout

Love the look of the new forum, looks 'High Tech' and very clean.

Not bad, just take some getting used to.

Hey Paul (or anyone who knows), how can we view or get a list of only the new posts to our subscribed forums since we last visited like we could in the old format?

Seems quicker, but I guess time will tell as it 'loads up.' You can check recent messages by clicking on the button at the upper right of the forum's top level, Scott

Assuming you mean the "View New Posts" text 'button' Steve, that gives you a list of all new posts for all the discussion forums, not just new posts in only those forums to which I'm subscribed.

I've also found that when I "Mark Thread Read" it takes me back to the root of the forum (NewTek Discussions), and I have to go back to the top and select "User CP" to get back to the list of new posts for only my subscribed forums.

Blast me for being picky, but the old forum format was much faster and more efficient to use.

Scott (but I guess no one promised change would be fun)

Whether with the old forums or the forums powered by vb (like this one or CGTalk etc) I usually end up using multi-tab (Mozilla) or multiple windows to read the forums.

Got thruough the registration process unscathed. I am very pleased with the new forum.

Marking read

I like the new layout, except for all the time it wastes bringing up a whole new screen when you choose "mark forum read".

And then the fact that it dumps you BACK in that forum, instead of back at the level you came from before you went to that forum.

Who would want to go back to a forum they just marked read? That's plain dumb.
