ooohhh... I just noticed in my Steam games that the Left4Dead 2 demo is available for me now. Installing it, now at 35%. Looks like it's gonna be a late night for me.

It's not bad, although it feels different somehow, undecided as to whether it's a good or bad thing. Also, for me, the voice acting isn't as good as the first.

I just spent some time playing the single person part. Either I'm doing something wrong or is it very a short demo in only one map? It seems I could play as long as I like, but I couldn't find my way out of the whole first map and never got an "end of demo" message.
It's cool, just like L4D 1 was, but I probably won't buy it for the same reason I didn't buy L4D1 - too limited interest. I know it was designed to be primarily an online game, but there's got to be some huge story behind all this that has happened. What is it? How did everyone get zombified?
I would love to see a Half-Life 2-esque epic single player version of this with real goals other than just "don't die". That I would buy. But I don't want to spend 50 bucks on a game that amounts to just running around shooting zombies and surviving, with no real storyline, no real goals and I'm not really into online games aside from COD4.
For what it is though, it looks like a lot of fun if you're into the online playing.

It is only part of one map, I think you only go trhough two safe rooms, and you can play it as long as you want until the final game is released.

Oh okay, thanks for confirming that. I kept going back and forth, forth and back, trying to find my way to the next level.

Next Game: Sunday! 8pm (tomorrow)
I've been quite busy this week so I havn't had the time to setup an appropriate time. That said, anyone of you can of course arrange for a date and time to play. Just because I'm the one hosting the server doesn't mean I'm the only one to "book" a date and time.
Anyhow... lets play tomorrow, 8pm Swedish time. Consult this chart to see the corresponding time in your part of the world!
Cheers!

Sounds good, Cageman. I'll be able to make it, hopefully everyone else will too.

OT, but...
Matt, I got an automatic Steam update for the L4D2 demo yesterday and apparently it was supposed to have more than just that one map, as well as some other missing content, so the demo is now expanded.

Hey guys. I've read that Best Buy interview with IW regarding MW2. I might get it anyway.. But it will require us to add each other on Steam Friends though. Do we dare to?...
We can host a "private party" which will only allow friends in the Steam List to join, whether they join by themselves or get an invitation.
I miiiiiiiight just get the game anyway...
As for todays task, I'll be there at 2000 hours, sir!

Lol, I can imagine it you having fun. Taking a calm stroll across the landscape, with a bomb in your hand, whistling a happy tune, looking at the birds in the sky..
