point clone plus problems

ok doing a landscape and i have some trees modeled and i'm attempting populate the lanscape with them but point clone plus is centering teh geometry of the trees on the points not the pivot point on the points so half of the tree is always burried and because they have random scaling i cant jsut simply grab them all and move them up abit =/

is this how point clone plus used to work? - sure i've used it in the past for a similar application

anyway asside from manually fixing each and every tree of which there is over 300 is there a plugin that maybe does a better job?

On your object to be cloned move your pivot point to the base if it is not already -then all ramdon scaling should keep the base of your tree at the point. just guessing and taking a wild stab at it.

nope pivot point is definatly at the base of the tree =/ but i think i'll jsut use a load of 2 poly trees and place teh close up tree manually

on a completely unrealted issue does anyone know why when use the spray brush in perpective window the whoel thing practically grinds to a halt while its perfect workable in the ortho views?

Mine doesn't. Could be a driver issue?
